It has been a REALLY busy month, so we’re going to try to do a summary below of what’s been going on.  If we’ve left anyone out – please feel free to jog our memory by emailing us.

BREEZE: Vanderbilt’s Cool Breeze (Fonzie x Mia) – 3rd in 6-9 mos Sweeps class, 2nd in regular class

UZI: Cabaka’s Miss Uzi of Playhard (Hardy x Yunna) – 4th in 15+ mos Sweeps class

JAGGER: Vanderbilt’s Shine A Light (Yacker x Celine) – 1st in 12-18 regular class

BINGO: Vanderbilt’s Let The Games Begin (Yacker x Ultima) – 3rd in Open dog class

NEWMAN: Dushanbe’s Man Of My Dreams (Manny x Tenny) – co-bred with owner Linda Johnson – 4th in 6-9 Sweeps and 3rd in Regular classes.

Plus congrats to the many Felix kids with class wins and placements: “Roxanna” 2nd Open bitch; “Kit’n” 1st 9-12 Regular classes and 1st in Sweeps class and BEST IN SWEEPS!; “Daisy” 2nd in 9-12 Sweeps and Regular classes; “Duke” 4th in 9-12 Regular class and Sweeps class; “Dan” 1st in 9-12 Sweeps class. Congrats to Ch. Cabaka’s Gina of Rock Star (Morell/Vincze) on 1st in Brood Bitch class with her Felix kids.

Oct. 16/17/18th, Tilsonburg, ON – London Canine Assoc. – Bingo Group 2 under James Reynolds; Group 4 under Thora Brown; Group 4 under Elaine Whitney

Oct. 24/25th, Belleville, ON – Belleville KC – Bingo Group 4 under Patricia Nemirovsky; Group 2 under Michael Gelinas

Hardy daughter Lillie goes Best In Show, and new Can.Ch. Vienna!

Congratulations to Gitte Morell on her Best In Show and New Danish Champion “Lillie” (Cabaka’s Pretty Girl Of Playhard), sired by “Hardy” (Can.Am.Ch. Vanderbilt’s Rockhard Playhard) and out of “Abbi” (Cabaka’s Miss Abbi Snowstorm). The win was at the Special Show in Silkeborg, Denmark under breeder-judge Eivin Mjærum. Lillie is pictured at the Best of Breed win below with another Cabaka dog (Cabaka’s Navarro of Bastion) owned by Anette Myhre who was Best Male.

Congrats also to Valerie Bell on her NEW Can.Ch. Vanderbilt’s Sing Loud Lucerne (Vienna), finshing at the Halifax, NS shows.  Vienna is the first of the Vegas x Lou Lou kids to finish!

Am.Ch. Vanderbilt’s I’ll Paint Manhattan NA, NAJ, OAJ, CGC & Can.Ch. Dushanbe’s I’ll Take Manhattan

Here are some photos from “Painter’s” last agility trial. He is now in Excellent Jumpers and Open Agility. He is close to completing his Open Agility title with the last run (just need one more), and got to the excellent level in just 4 trials.  Wow!  Congratulations to Painter and his dedicated owner and #1 fan, Allison Baker.  ”Painter” is also an SCA AOM winner (2007), and is sired by “Manny” (BIS G.Ch. Vanderbilt’s Man O’War, CD,CGN,RE,TT) and his dam is “Tenny” (Ch. Vanderbilt Paint Me Pretentious).  Go Painter and Allison!  We’re very proud!!

The Manny/Tenny litter was co-bred by Dushanbe and Vanderbilt, and produced several Champions including Can.Ch. Dushanbe’s Manhattan Skyline, Can.Am.Ch. Vanderbilt’s Madison Avenue, and the pick bitch, Ch. Dushanbe’s I’ll Take Manhattan, “Macy” – who after two litters at Dushanbe has now come to Vanderbilt. Thanks Linda!  Watch for this exciting and sassy gal – she’s a chip off the ol’ block!!

“Bingo” BIS at Markham KC

August 27th-30th – Our 18 month old boy “Bingo” (Multi BISS Ch. Vanderbilt’s Let The Games Begin) had a great weekend at Markham KC picking up a Group 3, 3xGroup 1’s and a BIS.  Thanks to judges Mrs. D. Graffman (Grp 3), Dr. J. Reeve-Newson (Grp. 1), Mr. M. Chaloux (Grp. 1/BIS), and Mr. M. Thornton (Grp. 1) for recognizing Bingo with these awards.

“Amy” Middle Eastern European Youth Winner

Congrats to Boogie x Mia 11 month old daughter Vanderbilt’s Amy of Thayapark on winning the Youth Winner title on Aug. 22/09 in Wels, Austria under judge Dr. Jakkel Tamas (Budapest, Hungary).  And Amy did this completely out of coat!  Congratulations to her owners Hugo & Brigette Pusch.

“Cool Sun” Best Puppy In Show in Russia

Congrats to Fonzie x Lacey daughter, Vanderbilt’s Cool Sun Dorian Spring on winning BPIB and BPIS1 on August 9th at a Northern Breeds Specialty show under judge Kudryavtseva.  Congratulations Phillip & Julia!

“Cool Rain” New Am.Ch.!

Congrats to Fonzie x Tenny daughter “Rain” (V’s Cool Rain) on a smart finish to her Am.Ch at Ballston Spa, NY shows by going WB/BOS over Special under Lorraine Boutwell and WB/BW/BOS over Special under Roger Hartinger on August 5th and 6th handled by Krysta Nuovo.  Thank to Carrie Collier for piloting Rain to her title so swiftly.  Rain already has kids out winning in Europe from her first breeding to Cabaka’s Gucci of Rock Star, and watch for Rain’s babies sired by BISS Am.Ch. White Magic’s Spirit Of Light out in the US soon.  An exciting upcoming litter planned with “Jasper”!  A wonderful show girl and brood bitch – what could be better?  Rain is co-bred by Linda Johnson (Dushanbe).  Thanks Linda for our little “Jade” girl

“Elle” New Canadian Champion!

Congratulations goes out to “Elle” (Am.Ch. Vanderbilt’s Money Money Money) on completing her Can.Ch. title on August 3rd, 2009, competing in British Columbia, with a WB, BOW under Judge Wayne Burton (Australia).  Elle’s quest began just a few days earlier and she made it a sweep of the points by finishing undefeated in the classes.  As a move up, Elle already has taken a BOB and a cut in group under j. L. Storshaw (Can).  ”Elle” has had a whirlwind few weeks winning a US BISS from the classes, finishing her Am.Ch, and now her Can.Ch.  Watch for her at the SCA National in Indianapolis in October with her teammate/friend/handler – Susan Taylor.  Thanks Susan for a GREAT job!  Elle is co-owned and loved by Lynn Godbee of Stardust Samoyeds in Texas.  Thanks for giving Elle all of these wonderful opportunities Lynn!
